Terms of Sale
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These Terms of Sale apply to purchases made through awebo.no and other checkout pages operated by Rokter AS under the AWEBO name.
Please read these terms before placing an order.
1. About us
AWEBO is operated by:
Rokter AS
Organisation number: 934 839 005
Narvik, Norway
Email: awebo@awebo.no
In these terms, “AWEBO”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Rokter AS.
“You” and “customer” refer to the person placing the order.
2. The purchase agreement
The purchase agreement consists of:
- the product description shown when you order;
- the price and delivery information shown at checkout;
- any personalisation details submitted with the order;
- your order confirmation;
- these Terms of Sale; and
- applicable mandatory consumer law.
Mandatory consumer rights always take priority over these terms.
You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise legally able to enter into the agreement, to place an order.
3. Handmade character
Every AWEBO is made and finished by hand.
Small differences in shape, size, colour, markings, expression, wool texture, stitching and finish are natural characteristics of a handmade product. No two AWEBOs are exactly alike.
Product photographs are representative. The individual AWEBO you receive will have its own handmade character and may not look identical to photographs shown on the website.
Natural handmade variations are not defects unless the product materially differs from what was described or agreed.
4. Product information
We aim to describe each product accurately, including its:
- approximate size;
- materials;
- included accessories;
- individual number;
- personalisation options; and
- estimated production or dispatch date.
Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography and screen settings.
AWEBO is a decorative object and not a toy. It may contain small parts and should be kept away from young children and pets.
5. Individual numbers
Each AWEBO may be assigned an individual number.
An available number may be held temporarily while you complete checkout. A temporary hold does not confirm ownership of that number.
The number is confirmed when payment has been completed and you receive an order confirmation.
If a number becomes unavailable because of a technical error, duplicate reservation or production problem, we will offer you:
- another available number;
- an equivalent replacement; or
- a full refund.
Every AWEBO and AWEBO on Rock comes with a digital AWEBO Card that has the same number as your piece (for example, AWEBO Nº 12 comes with The Snow Nº 12). The card is delivered to the email you bought with and is saved to your AWEBO account. It is a collectible and a record of your piece; it has no monetary value and is not an investment.
6. Personalisation
Each AWEBO may include a personalised birch-bark name tag or other customer-selected details.
You are responsible for checking the spelling and accuracy of all personalisation information you submit.
We may ask you to confirm the personalisation through your private AWEBO page or by email.
After personalised work has begun, changes may no longer be possible.
We may reject personalisation that is unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, infringing or otherwise unsuitable.
7. Price and payment
The price payable is the price displayed when you complete checkout, unless there is an obvious pricing or technical error.
Payment is processed through the payment methods available at checkout.
We do not normally receive or store your complete payment-card details.
Your order is confirmed only after payment has been authorised.
If payment is rejected, reversed, disputed or reasonably suspected to be unauthorised or fraudulent, we may pause or cancel the order.
8. Shipping included
Where the product page states that worldwide shipping is included, standard shipping to the supported delivery destination is included in the listed price.
Handmade AWEBO products are made and shipped from Norway. The AWEBO Cotton Tote and AWEBO prints are designed in Norway and printed on demand by our print partner at a facility close to the delivery address, and ships from there. The parcel may therefore arrive from another country.
Any express delivery, special handling or other optional service will be shown separately before payment.
9. Customs, duties and import taxes
Worldwide shipping does not mean that customs charges or local taxes are prepaid.
Orders delivered outside Norway may be subject to:
- import duties;
- value-added tax, sales tax or similar local taxes;
- customs-clearance charges;
- carrier administration or brokerage fees; and
- other charges imposed in the destination country.
These charges are not included in the product price unless checkout expressly states otherwise.
The recipient is responsible for paying charges imposed by the destination country or carrier.
We do not control these charges and cannot predict their amount.
The customer is also responsible for ensuring that the product can lawfully be imported into the destination country.
10. Order confirmation
After completing an order, you should receive an electronic order confirmation.
Please check it carefully and contact awebo@awebo.no promptly if anything is incorrect.
We may correct an obvious error involving:
- price;
- availability;
- duplicate numbering;
- delivery destination;
- product information; or
- personalisation.
If we cannot fulfil the order as agreed, we will contact you and offer a suitable alternative or a full refund.
11. Handmade production and estimated dates
AWEBOs are made by hand in small batches.
Production, readiness, dispatch and delivery dates shown on the website are estimates unless we expressly confirm a fixed deadline in writing.
Timing may be affected by:
- handmade production capacity;
- quality control;
- material availability;
- carrier delays;
- customs processing;
- severe weather; or
- circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will contact you if we become aware of a significant delay.
If delivery by a particular date is essential, contact us before ordering. We will tell you honestly whether the deadline appears realistic.
Your mandatory rights in the event of delayed delivery remain unchanged.
12. Photograph before dispatch
We intend to provide a photograph of your individual AWEBO before it leaves Norway.
The photograph may be delivered by email or displayed on your private AWEBO page.
The photograph is intended to show the handmade item created for you. Minor differences caused by lighting, scale, photography or screen settings do not constitute defects.
Unless we expressly ask you to approve the product before dispatch, shipment does not depend on receiving a reply to the photograph.
13. Delivery information
You must provide complete and accurate delivery information, including:
- recipient name;
- delivery address;
- postal code;
- country;
- email address; and
- telephone number where required by the carrier.
Please check the information carefully before completing the order.
We are not responsible for avoidable delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.
This does not apply where the error was caused by us.
14. Delivery and tracking
Orders are shipped through the postal or carrier services selected by us.
Where tracking is available, we will provide tracking information electronically.
Carrier estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates.
For international orders, the parcel may be transferred to a local postal or delivery partner in the destination country.
You are responsible for following tracking information and collecting or accepting the parcel within the carrier’s stated period.
15. Failed delivery and returned parcels
Contact us if tracking indicates that delivery has failed or the parcel appears delayed.
If a parcel is returned because of:
- an incomplete or incorrect customer-provided address;
- failure to collect it;
- refusal by the recipient;
- unpaid import charges; or
- an import restriction in the destination country,
we will work with you to find a reasonable solution.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- correcting the address and reshipping;
- producing a replacement;
- cancelling the order where legally possible; or
- issuing an appropriate refund.
Where the return was caused by customer-provided information or failure to accept delivery, we may require payment of reasonable additional shipping or return costs before reshipping, to the extent permitted by law.
We will not charge you for correcting a delivery failure caused by us.
16. Risk during delivery
For consumer purchases, responsibility for loss of or damage to the product normally remains with us until you, or a person designated by you other than the carrier, takes physical possession of it.
Please contact us promptly if tracking shows delivery but the parcel has not been received.
17. Cancellation before personalised work begins
Contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your order.
As an AWEBO customer-service policy, we will normally allow cancellation and provide a full refund where we are able to stop the order before personalised work has begun.
This voluntary cancellation policy does not create a right to cancel after personalisation has started.
18. Right of withdrawal
Consumers purchasing online may ordinarily have a statutory right of withdrawal.
However, that right does not normally apply to goods made according to the customer’s specifications or given a clearly personal character.
An AWEBO supplied with a personalised birch-bark name tag or other customer-selected personalisation may fall within this exception.
Where the exception applies, the ordinary statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to the personalised product.
This does not affect your rights if the product:
- is damaged;
- is defective;
- is incorrect;
- does not match the agreement; or
- was personalised incorrectly because of our error.
For an AWEBO without a personal name, you may withdraw within 14 days of delivery. Tell us at awebo@awebo.no, return the product unused, and we refund the purchase price within 14 days of receiving it back. You pay the return postage. The name is optional; leaving it blank keeps this right.
Prints and the Cotton Tote. You may withdraw within 14 days of delivery. Tell us at awebo@awebo.no first, and we tell you where to return it. Return it unused and in its packaging, and we refund the purchase price within 14 days of receiving it back. You pay the return postage.
AWEBO Cards. Cards are digital and delivered by email right away. If you change your mind, tell us at awebo@awebo.no within 14 days of purchase and we refund you. If a card or PDF is faulty or wrong, we fix it or refund you.
Card and certificate. If your AWEBO is refunded, its card and certificate are withdrawn at the same time. The card is removed from your account, the certificate stops being valid, and the number may be given to another buyer. The same applies to AWEBO Cards that are refunded. A card you have already traded, gifted or printed is handled by contacting us.
19. Damaged, defective or incorrect products
Please inspect your AWEBO after delivery.
Contact awebo@awebo.no within a reasonable time if it:
- arrives damaged;
- has a manufacturing defect;
- is materially different from what was ordered;
- contains personalisation that differs from the information you correctly submitted;
- has the wrong individual number; or
- is missing an agreed component.
Please provide:
- your order number;
- a description of the problem; and
- photographs where relevant.
Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, an appropriate remedy may include:
- repair;
- correction;
- replacement;
- price reduction; or
- refund.
Where we request the return of a product because of a confirmed defect or our error, we will cover reasonable return costs.
These terms do not limit statutory complaint or conformity rights.
20. Customer-provided errors
We are not responsible for incorrect personalisation where the product accurately reflects the spelling or information submitted and confirmed by the customer.
Please still contact us. Where possible, we will try to offer a practical solution.
Any replacement or correction requested solely because of a customer-provided error may require an additional payment reflecting the actual work and cost involved.
21. Care and normal wear
AWEBO should be:
- spot-cleaned only;
- kept dry;
- handled gently; and
- stored away from young children and pets.
Handmade felted wool, brass and birch bark will naturally develop character with use and age.
Normal wear, ageing, accidental damage, unsuitable cleaning, prolonged moisture exposure, modification or damage caused by children or animals is not normally a product defect.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory rights concerning reasonable durability and product conformity.
22. Gift orders
An AWEBO may be purchased as a gift.
Every AWEBO arrives in a presentation box with an AWEBO card. The AWEBO comes with a birch-bark name tag (always included) and a brass tag with its laser-engraved number. The AWEBO on Rock comes with a birch-bark name scroll (always included), and its number is on the underside of the stone.
When ordering for someone else, you are responsible for:
- providing accurate recipient details;
- ensuring the recipient can receive the parcel;
- informing the recipient about possible import charges; and
- having a lawful basis to provide the recipient’s personal information.
23. Private AWEBO owner page
Each AWEBO may include access to a private digital owner page.
The page may allow the owner to:
- follow production progress;
- confirm personalisation;
- view photographs;
- add a story;
- upload images;
- submit content for possible gallery publication; and
- access information associated with the individual AWEBO.
The owner page is an additional service connected to the physical product. It is not sold as permanent or indefinite digital hosting.
We may improve, replace, restrict or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for:
- security;
- legal compliance;
- maintenance;
- service development; or
- protection of users.
We will act reasonably and will not intentionally remove owner content without reason. Owners should nevertheless retain their own copies of photographs and stories.
24. Private access links
The owner page may be protected by a unique access link rather than a password.
Treat this link as private.
Do not publish or share it with anyone who should not have access to the page.
Contact awebo@awebo.no promptly if the link is lost, exposed or used without permission.
We may disable and replace a link when necessary to protect the owner or the service.
25. Content uploaded by owners
You may only upload content that:
- you created or have permission to use;
- does not violate anyone’s privacy;
- does not infringe copyright, trademark or other rights;
- is not unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, hateful, defamatory or misleading;
- does not contain harmful code; and
- is suitable for an all-ages website.
Do not upload confidential documents, payment information, identification documents, exact private addresses or sensitive information that is unnecessary for the AWEBO page.
You are responsible for obtaining permission from identifiable people shown or named in the content.
26. Ownership of uploaded content
You retain ownership of original photographs, stories and other content you upload.
Private uploading does not transfer ownership to AWEBO and does not automatically give us permission to publish the content publicly.
You give Rokter AS a limited right to store, reproduce and technically process private content only as necessary to provide and secure the owner-page service.
27. Optional gallery publication
Uploading content privately and submitting it for public publication are separate actions.
We will not intentionally publish private owner content unless the owner has actively chosen to submit or approve it for publication.
When you submit content for publication, you grant Rokter AS a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free permission to:
- display the approved content in the Where they live gallery;
- publish it on AWEBO-controlled websites;
- publish it through AWEBO-controlled social-media accounts;
- crop, resize and format it for presentation; and
- display approved details such as first name, country and AWEBO number.
We may make light editorial corrections to spelling or formatting, but will not intentionally change the meaning of your story.
Publication permission is optional and is not required to purchase an AWEBO or use the private owner page.
You may withdraw permission for future publication by contacting awebo@awebo.no.
After withdrawal, we will stop new publication and remove the content from channels under our control within a reasonable period.
Previously shared copies, screenshots, search-engine caches or third-party reposts may remain outside our control.
We may decline, delay or remove public content where necessary for quality, privacy, safety, legal compliance or brand integrity.
28. People shown in photographs
Before submitting a photograph for public display, you must have permission from identifiable people appearing in it.
Do not submit photographs of children for publication unless you are legally authorised to provide the required permission and publication is appropriate.
We may request confirmation or refuse publication where permission is unclear.
29. Intellectual property
The AWEBO name, trademarks, product designs, website, text, graphics, photography and other brand material belong to Rokter AS, Rokter Holding AS or their licensors unless otherwise stated.
AWEBO® is a registered trademark in Norway, owned by Rokter Holding AS, the parent company of Rokter AS.
Purchasing an AWEBO does not transfer intellectual-property rights in the brand, product design or website.
You may photograph, share and enjoy your own AWEBO for personal purposes.
You may not reproduce or commercially exploit AWEBO designs, brand material or website content without permission, except where permitted by law.
30. Misuse and unlawful activity
We may refuse an order, remove uploaded content or restrict owner-page access where we reasonably believe it involves:
- fraud or unauthorised payment;
- unlawful content;
- infringement of another person’s rights;
- harassment or abuse;
- attempted unauthorised access;
- automated interference;
- malicious software; or
- conduct that threatens customers, staff or the service.
Where an order is cancelled, we will refund any amount that we are not legally entitled to retain.
31. Availability and technical errors
We aim to keep the website, product availability, numbering and owner pages accurate and available.
We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that every technical error will be prevented.
We may temporarily suspend a feature for security, maintenance or legal reasons.
We may correct obvious errors, but we will not use this clause to avoid a confirmed order merely because it later becomes less commercially favourable to us.
32. Liability
We remain responsible for fulfilling our obligations under the agreement and mandatory law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:
- fraud;
- intentional misconduct;
- gross negligence;
- personal injury where liability cannot be excluded; or
- mandatory consumer rights.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss that is not a natural consequence of our breach.
33. Events outside reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, carrier disruption, customs action, natural disaster, war, widespread infrastructure failure or governmental restrictions.
We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of such events and keep affected customers informed.
Mandatory rights relating to delay, cancellation or refund remain unchanged.
34. Official AWEBO communications
Rokter AS is the legal company that operates AWEBO.
Official AWEBO emails are sent only from addresses ending in:
- @awebo.no
- @rokter.no
Be cautious of messages sent from similar-looking domains or other addresses claiming to represent AWEBO.
AWEBO will never ask you by email to provide:
- your complete payment-card details;
- your online banking password;
- a one-time banking security code; or
- the password for another service.
Do not send your private AWEBO access link to anyone claiming to need it unless you have independently verified that you are communicating with AWEBO.
Please report suspicious messages to:
awebo@awebo.no
Messages sent through verified AWEBO social-media profiles, the AWEBO website, payment providers or delivery carriers may also be legitimate, but those third parties operate under their own domains and policies.
35. Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter:
awebo@awebo.no
Include your order number and a clear description of the issue.
Consumers may also seek assistance from the Norwegian Consumer Council or another competent consumer-protection or dispute-resolution service.
36. Governing law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law.
Consumers living outside Norway may also have mandatory protections under the law of their country of residence.
Nothing in these terms removes a consumer’s right to bring a claim before a court or authority that has mandatory jurisdiction under applicable law.
37. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our products, systems, legal obligations or business practices change.
The terms that normally govern an order are those presented when the order was placed.
Material changes to the owner-page service will apply prospectively and will not remove rights already acquired under an existing purchase.
