Three in a bright hallway on a winter morning, wool mittens on the bench below

Narvik · 2016

Three

Rock ptarmigans in their winter white, resting in the snow. You see two. Look closer: there are three.

Large: 70 × 100 cm (28 × 40 in). A centrepiece for a living room, bedroom or hall.

Printed straight onto brushed aluminium. The snow and the white birds show as real silver metal and catch the light of your room.

Matte finish. No glass, no glare, from any angle.

Rigid 3 mm panel. Hanging kit included.

The moment

I took this photograph in Narvik in the winter of 2016. Rock ptarmigans rested in the snow below a bare tree, white on white, so well hidden that you almost miss them. Most people see two. There are three.

On brushed aluminium, the snow glows silver and changes with the light through the day. A quiet piece of Norwegian winter, on your wall every day.
